A COLLISION between two vehicles on the old A3, near Liphook, last Wednesday, left two people seriously injured.
Emergency services, including a Liphook-based crew from Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service, were called to the scene near the Black Fox Inn at 10.50am, on January 31.
The head-on crash involved a Honda CRV travelling north and a Ford Ranger pick-up travelling south on the B2070 Old Portsmouth Road, near the Black Fox pub,
Both drivers had to be cut free from their vehicles by firefighters with the 64-year-old male driver of the pick-up, from Hambledon, being flown to South General Hospital by air ambulance with suspected life-threatening injuries.
The Honda driver, a 34-year-old woman, from Liphook, suffered multiple injuries and was taken by ambulance also to Southampton General Hospital.
The B2070 was closed for more than six hours while the incident was being dealt with.
A Surrey Fire and Rescue crew from Haslemere also attended along with a heavy rescue tender from Chichester, and a South East First Responder as well as other ambulance and police teams.
