Police investigating an attempted robbery in Aldershot have today issued an e-fit image of a man they want to speak with.

Hampshire Police received a report that the victim, a man in his 30s, was approached by a man in an alleyway near Croft Road at around 7am on Wednesday, January 29.

The man had a Stanley-like blade and demanded money from the victim. A tussle ensued and the victim suffered cuts above his hip.

He was taken to hospital to receive treatment for superficial wounds. Nothing was stolen during the incident.

Police have been carrying out various lines of enquiry, leading them to release an e-fit image of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

He is described as being white, aged in his 40s with dark hair and stubble. He was wearing a black coat, dark cargo trousers and walking boots.
