A young Altonian is building a great future for himself after landing a place at a top university through his A-Level success.
Dwayne Nobleza was old-school on results day as he collected his results at Alton College, unlike the majority who check online.
The former Amery Hill student achieved an A* in Mathematics, B in Further Mathematics, A in Physics and B in Chemistry added to secure a place at Imperial College London.
He will study Material Science & Engineering in the capital but he will always be grateful to Alton College for forging his future path.
He said: “Alton College has helped me secure an offer from the highest-ranked university for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, as of 2024-25.
“My advice to anyone considering studying A-Levels at Alton College is to have fun and put the work in, trust in the process and try and make studying and revising fun, as it helps.”
Dwayne was part of a small throng of students who celebrated their A-Level results at the college on Thursday (August 15) in a relatively low-key event.
Former Weydon School pupil Jack Parnell was another student who made the grade, collecting an impressive A in Mathematics and Politics and a B in History to secure a move to Nottingham to study History.
He said: “My favourite part of my Alton College experience was the teachers as I had a really good relationship with them which helped a lot.”
Thorfin Rolfe, who also studied at Alton Campus and achieved a B in Geography, a C in 3D Design and a Distinction* in Engineering added: “My advice to anyone wanting to follow in my footsteps is to get all of the coursework completed as soon as possible, if you find yourself ahead, that’s great, stay ahead.”
