Recorded crime in central Farnham dropped to its lowest level in nearly three years in August according to the latest www.police.uk figures.

The latest crime map makes encouraging reading for Surrey Police with 62 crimes being reported in Farnham Town Centre during the month.

The figure is the lowest in the patch since 57 in November 2021 and well down on the 85 reported in July.

Violent or sexual offences accounted for nearly a quarter of all reported crimes (15) with anti-social behaviour (11) and public order (10) offences being close behind.

There were also seven reported cases of criminal damage or vehicle crime apiece with six of the latter taking place around Guildford Road.

The latter was also the most “crime ridden” street in the town during the month with eight total offences.

Crime also dipped significantly in the Wrecclesham, Rowledge and The Bourne patch to a 12-month low of 43.
