Opticians and audiologists at Specsavers Farnham celebrated their store’s re-opening after a £235,000 refurbishment with a party and a fundraiser.
Cllr Brodie Mauluka, Mayor of Farnham, was special guest at the party which also included a raffle and face-painting.
The fundraiser brought in £210.70, to be split between Farnham Foodbank and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People.
Georgina Croft, retail director of Farnham Specsavers, said: “We are so pleased with the reception we received from the town.
“We wanted to celebrate this refurbishment with the community as well as giving back to it and this couldn’t happen without the people of Farnham.
“Farnham Foodbank and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People are causes close to our hearts and we thought it was important to donate to them when we can.”
The refurbishment includes improved access for those with mobility problems, new testing equipment and a sound-proofed audiology room.
