A Farnham accountancy firm has urged football fans to wear their team’s shirt with pride in aid of a good cause.
Branston Adams is holding its own ‘Football Shirt Day’ on Thursday (September 5) in aid of Phyllis Tuckwell hospice.
The South Street firm would like make the fundraiser an annual event and have called on other organisations, businesses, schools and individuals to join them in a celebration of football, friendship and fundraising.
They have called on participants to post pictures on social media using the #footballshirtday hashtag – perhaps with a cheeky tag for Branston Adams.
Would-be participants can help the hospice by donating £1 or more by looking for Paul Adams Football on www.justgiving.com or popping into their office.
“We’re encouraging clubs, societies, workforces to let everyone wear their football shirts for the day, publicise their support, maybe a bit of friendly rivalry,” said the firm’s Aldershot Town fan, Paul Adams.
