A Haslemere business is in great shape thanks to Rural England Prosperity funding.
Councillor Liz Townsend recently visited the Haslemere Chiropractic Clinic to see how the firm has benefited from the grant, issued through Waverley and Guildford Borough Councils.
Dr Michelle Carrington, who originally started the clinic in the front two rooms of her house, bought a new chiropractic table, air conditioning and solar panels with the handout.
The new table allowed the clinic to open an additional treatment room, the air conditioning means operations can continue safely during the summer, and the panels have reduced energy costs and increased profit.
More than a dozen REPF grants totalling more than £330k have been awarded in Waverley to firms to promote sustainable growth.
Businesses could apply for up to 50 per cent of capital costs for projects which create jobs or grow the local rural economy through the scheme.
