The firm behind a 302-home development in Alresford has made a successful cash offer to the organisers of major local event.

Taylor Wimpey Southern Counties have shown their support for the Alresford Agricultural Show by making a £250 donation towards the event’s prize money fund.
The firm’s Alresford Down development off Sun Lane is due to launch this autumn with its showhomes scheduled to open next spring.
The September 7 showpiece at Tichborne Park is one of the county’s biggest events of its kind and attracted around 12,000 people.
Prize-winning animals, horse competitions, modern and vintage machinery exhibitions, dog shows, stalls and local food and drink were all showcased at the annual event.
“A big thank you to everyone involved and to Taylor Wimpey for their generous donation from the people who made it happen, our members and the public for making it a fantastic day,” said event secretary, Lorraine Bailey.
