NEEDY families in Eastern Europe will be sharing some of the joys of Christmas thanks to kind-hearted children from Petersfield Infant School who have filled a record 140 festive shoeboxes with goods for all ages.
The shoeboxes will be delivered to families before Christmas and for the first time this year the school has paid for each class to fill a shoebox as well as those donated from home.
Petersfield Infant School holds its fundraising Christmas fair next Saturday, December 6, from 10.30am to 1pm at its St Peter's Road home.
Meanwhile, it may always be winter but never Christmas in CS Lewis' fantasy world but that is about to change as visitors to Rake Primary School tomorrow (Saturday) will find out when they step through the wardrobe into a Narnia-themed festive fair.
The fair, which runs from noon to 3pm, will also feature food, fun and stalls.
