MORE than £1,400 was raised by parents, teachers and the local community who packed into the main hall at William Cobbett Primary School, during a Macmillan Coffee Morning.

Pupils bought in an array of cakes for visitors to enjoy with their cup of coffee or tea. Once the adults had left, the children who donated £1 each, enjoyed the rest of the cakes and ate them with relish during their break time.

This is the 13th year the school has held such a coffee morning and is proud that in that time it has raised more than £11,000 for Macmillan,
