Renowned composer and pianist Simeon Walker will be coming to the Alton Arts Festival in July 2024.

Described as “a leading light in the burgeoning modern classical scene”, Simeon’s recent work is both introspective and melancholic, while also conveying a sense of hope and longing for openness and connection. 

“I’m really looking forward to being part of the inaugural Alton Arts Festival in 2024,” said Simeon.

“I love the values and ethos behind the festival, rooting creativity and culture in real, local communities. I passionately believe everyone deserves to have access to great cultural activities and events to participate in, without having to travel into larger urban areas.

"I’m thrilled to be part of a wonderful line-up of talented artists, and look forward to seeing you all next July.”

Simeon’s addition to the line-up demonstrates the festival’s commitment to programming a diverse array of events, with a balance of styles, genres and disciplines that represent the range of interests among Alton audiences.
