A man from Tongham who admitted assaulting a police officer has been slapped with a community order.
Simon High, 36, of Poyle Road in Tongham, assaulted the female officer in Camberley on February 25 this year.
He admitted the offence at Guildford Magistrates’ Court on July 4 and was fined £180 and told to pay £50 compensation.
High was also handed a community order requiring him to undertake nine months of alcohol treatment and drug rehabilitation.
In addition, he was ordered to participate in rehabilitation activities up to a maximum of 20 days.
