WILLIAM Cobbett Primary School, in Weybourne raised £4,000 at its Christmas fair which will go towards new books for the school libraries, special mats for the infant classes and apps for their tablet computers.
The hall was full of stall holders selling hand-crafted gifts and Christmas decorations with other stalls such as the bottle tombola in the classrooms. There was plenty to do for everyone including face painting, books and soft toys to buy and a secrets room where the staff wrapped children’s presents for their parents.
Headteacher Julie Campbell said: “This was our first fair as a joint school and everyone worked hard to make it a really special event. Our brand new home economics kitchen was used for the first time to serve hot dogs and parents were able to see where some of the money raised last year was spent. Many thanks to all the parents, friends and staff who worked so hard to make the event so successful.”
