Crondall Primary School was officially welcomed into the Weydon Multi Academy Trust family on March 1.

The single form entry primary school is the first Hampshire school and the first primary welcomed into the Farnham-based trust.

John Winter, CEO of WMAT, said: “Crondall have a set of values and a vision that aligns with that of WMAT and we are confident this partnership will be collaborative and beneficial to all.

“The headteacher, Jo Leatham, and all the team at Crondall have a wealth of experience and will bring a valued new dimension to WMAT, opening up the possibility of working with more schools in the primary sector as we realise our ambitious growth plans.”

The addition of Crondall School takes WMAT to eight schools; four secondaries (Weydon, Heath End, Woolmer Hill and Rodborough, three special schools (Ridgeway, The Abbey and The Park) and one primary (Crondall) as well as the i2i Teacher Training Centre.
