Word on the grapevine is that a winery in Crondall is going to host a networking event for local farmers.

The ‘Yarn in a Barn’ event hosted by the Farming Community Network will include presentations about changes in farming, rural crime and staying resilient through changing times.

There will also be information stands during the FarmWell gathering in Penn Croft Winery on Tuesday, March 5.

The event will include a presentation by Ian Margetts of Summerdown Mint on ‘Meeting the Challenges of Farming Change’ and a rural crime update from the Hampshire Country Watch Team.

The FCN will also give a presentation on resilience at the event, held in conjunction with Hampshire Police and Hampshire Trading Standards.
