Staff at a Farnham coffee shop were overjoyed to welcome back a particularly grateful customer following a dramatic rescue just days earlier.

Last week, the Herald reported on Andrew Henderson, a regular at Caffé Nero, who collapsed due to a sudden health scare in the coffee shop.

The quick-thinking staff, manager Ryan and his colleague Sarah, immediately sprang into action, using the first aid kit and their training to assist Andrew as they waited for paramedics to arrive.

After the incident, Ryan made sure to get Andrew's phone number to check on his recovery. The staff were relieved to receive a selfie from Andrew later, letting them know he was doing well.

Andrew returned to the coffee shop this week to thank the staff in person and share the full story of his recovery.

Ryan said:” It was blessing, the day he came back both me and Sarah were both on shift and it was nice to see him walk in and smile.

“We gave him nice big hug as well and he then explained what happened and how he was well look after in hospital.”

“When you get such a bad moment it is really nice to have outcome and his has brought us together. He has now become more than regular and we see him more of as a friend now.”

Mr. Henderson was at the branch with a friend when he suddenly felt dizzy. He banged his head as he fell, while he later learnt his his heart had temporarily stopped, causing him to faint.
