DAVID Wilson Homes’ Heritage Quarter development in Bordon has achieved top marks in the Built for Life accreditation scheme.

The house builder is creating 144 homes as part of the major regeneration of the town, and said the accolade was “proof of its commitment to creating the very best new communities”.

These homes are part of the 500 being built on the former Louisburg Barracks in the north of the town.

Built for Life approval is designed to give homebuyers confidence that important design elements, during the planning process, have been checked. Developments are judged on a rigorous 12-point system, all of which must be satisfied to achieve the award.

Recognising excellence in design quality, safety and community, the scheme is a Government-endorsed industry standard for well-designed homes and neighbourhoods.

Scoring high in all 12 categories, homes built at Heritage Quarter have been designed to “integrate into the local community”, as well as providing “a safe, secure and attractive environment to live in”.

Tim Hill, managing director at David Wilson Homes, said: “We are thrilled that the quality of homes at Heritage Quarter has been recognised by our industry peers with this accreditation.

“It’s a credit to our design team, which has put the community and future residents at the heart of its thought process.”

Homes at Heritage Quarter are available from £350,000.
