An Alton charity is inviting the community, including dog lovers and families, to take part in a free fun walk next month.

Dogs for Autism is hosting the walk on Saturday, May 3 to celebrate the launch of their May Fundraiser, ‘Lead the Way’.

The walk, taking place at Hogmoor Inclosure, Bordon at 10:30am, is open to all ages and abilities and is the perfect opportunity to enjoy fresh air, exercise, and meet fellow supporters – all while raising awareness for a good cause.

Laura McCreadie, fundraising manager at Dogs for Autism said: “We wanted to launch the Lead the Way campaign in a way that brings people together for a great cause. This walk is all about community spirit, and we’d love to see as many people – and wagging tails – as possible!

Lead the Way is a fundraiser, taking place throughout May, and participants will be raising funds in any way they choose to support Dogs for Autism. The fun walk at the start of May is a great way to kick things off and inspire the local community to get involved.

Whether you have a dog or not, everyone is invited to join the fun. Families, individuals, and local walking groups are all welcome. There will be free dog treats, fun challenges, and a chance to win a great prize!

To get involved in Lead the Way, you should contact [email protected], and a free fundraising pack will be sent to you with:

  • A progress map & stickers
  • Fundraising tips
  • A sponsorship form
  • Donation box
  • A campaign banner to help spread the word

For every £1 raised, Louis, a puppy in training, will walk one mile around the world —symbolising his journey to becoming an autism assistance dog.
