Phyllis Tuckwell is appealing for raffle prizes to offer at its summer fundraising events.
The hospice care charity will raise money from entry fees to Jazz in the Garden at the Hampton Estate on June 2, a seven-a-side football match at Frimley Lodge on June 9 and Phyllis Tuckwell’s Motor Show in Churt on August 11, but these funds can be boosted by raffles.
A Phyllis Tuckwell spokesperson said: “Do you have any jazz, football or motor vehicle-related prizes which you could donate? Maybe you have a connection with a golf club that could donate a four-ball round of golf, or could a restaurant donate a dining experience or afternoon tea?
“Boxes of chocolates, bottles of wine or spirits, or any other luxury items you might be able to donate for the raffles, would all be very much appreciated.”
Events fundraiser Fiona Chapman added: “If you are able to donate any items for our summer event raffles, we would be really grateful.
“Both general and event-specific items would be greatly appreciated, and could be from you, or perhaps your company or employer would be able to make a donation.”
Phyllis Tuckwell supports more than 250 patients, relatives and carers every day, but as the NHS and government only covers 20 per cent of its costs it must raise more than £25,000 per day to do this. Fundraising events and raffles help enormously to meet this target.
