POLICE have today named the woman who was killed crossing a road in Petersfield.

Yogalakshmi Sinnaiah, 58, from Liss, died on the Dragon Street crossing close to the junction with the High Street last Tuesday.

The accident, which also involved a recycling lorry, happened shortly before 2pm, according to a police statement and the woman was declared dead at the scene 90 minutes later.

Police investigations are continuing but there have been no arrests in relation to the accident.
