PUPILS at Edgeborough School in Frensham are singing their way into summer following the conclusion of their chapel and chamber choir tour to the Netherlands.
The independent school took a total of 40 choristers on the trip to the beautiful coastal town of Noordwijk.
There they enjoyed numerous cultural activities, including popular trips to a water park and theme park, as well as three show-stopping concerts in the Maria ter Zee Church in Noordwijk, Nicolaaskerk in Edam and the English Reformed Church in Amsterdam.
The choristers performed a hugely varied programme to full and receptive audiences and thoroughly deserved the standing ovations at each venue.
Singing has always been an integral part at the school and head of music Kate Davies was delighted with the tour.
She said: “The concerts were a huge success and the children had worked incredibly hard to learn every piece of repertoire from memory.
“The feeling of camaraderie throughout was very special indeed, with new friendships made, old friendships cemented, and a pervading feeling of happiness and well-being throughout our five days away.”
The trip was capped with a post-tour celebration at St Mary’s Church, Frensham, on Monday, April 30.
