Community groups can get the inside track on funding for their projects through East Hampshire District Council’s Meet the Funders event in Whitehill & Bordon.
At the meeting, held on Thursday, March 30, local clubs and charities can have personalised face-to-face meetings with funding organisations like the National Lottery and The Arts Council to find out how to maximise their funding potential.
Cllr Julie Butler, the district council’s deputy leader, said: “There are lots of different funding streams for local groups to tap into but they often require different criteria to be met or are looking for particular types of projects.
“If you don’t have any support, navigating your way through it all can be quite a minefield.
“That’s why our Meet the Funders event is so valuable to local organisations. They can discuss their own projects and find out the best way to get the funding they need.”
The funding organisations confirmed to attend the event, to be held at the Bordon and Oakhanger Social Club (BOSC), are:
EHDC (including the Community Infrastructure Levy and the new Climate Change Action Fund);
Crowdfunder Uk;
The National Lottery;
The National Heritage Fund;
Arts Council;
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Community Foundation.
The event will begin with a short talk from each funder and will then proceed to booked one-to-one appointments.
An application form to take part in the day can be found on EHDC’s website.
Applications must be submitted by Friday, March 3.
