Held at Alton Sports Centre, 176 children from 11 schools competed in two groups to battle it out for the much-coveted trophies.
The competition featured children from Rowledge as well as Alton, Bentley, Medstead, Holybourne, Bentworth, Binsted, Chawton, Selborne and St Lawrence, competing in freestyle and backstroke individual races and relays. After 76 fast-paced races, the winners in the larger schools group were the pupils from Rowldege Primary, who retained the overall title they have won for the past two years.
Bentley Primary finished second and Medstead’s team came in third place.
The team from St Lawrence (Alton) won the small schools title, ahead of Andrew’s Endowed (Holybourne) in second place, with Bentworth third.
Sue Jones, PE co-ordinator at Rowledge Primary School, said: “We are extremely proud of our swimming team. They all swam superbly and were a credit to our school.”
