PUPILS at Potters Gate Primary School have shown off their new photography skills by setting up an exhibition.

Year 6 youngsters have been part of the photography club for five weeks, with University for the Creative Arts photography student Rhiannon Jones visiting pupils once a week to teach them framing, lighting, depth and editing among other techniques.

They chose a selection of pictures - taken using cameras and iPads - to put on display.

Rhiannon had them all printed, and the children helped set up the exhibition, which parents, families and friends were invited along to. Donations could be made to Cancer Research.

Rhiannon said: “I’m really impressed and pleased with how they took the challenge on, they have all taken on board the skills they’ve learnt and have taken them into the outside environment.”
