Thirty-three Royal Senior School pupils from Years 9, 10 and 11 participated in the online UK Mathematics Trust intermediate mathematical challenge.

The challenge is a one-hour paper with 25 questions that challenge the most able mathematicians to think in a logical and creative way in order to solve abstract and applied mathematical problems.

Twenty pupils gained certificates, while six pupils achieved a gold certificate – which was the most for the school since 2017.
