The latest exhibition at the Red Cube Gallery in Frensham is an environmental installation by artist Angela Shaw.
It documents the sorry state of three local rivers - the Whitewater, Hart and Blackwater, which converge to flow into the River Loddon and on to the River Thames - over a year.
Angela told the Herald: “Rivers are being used, as they have in the past, as gutters, taking away waste of every kind. Yet they are precious waterways, necessary for all life. Humans and biodiversity depend on them.”
A new group, Blackwater Valley Action for Rivers, aims to help the environment and wildlife around these three rivers. The Great UK Water Blitz, from April 25 to 28, will survey river health nationwide. For more details email [email protected]
