Fairport Convention - the architects of British folk rock - will be appearing at Farnham Maltings on February 8 at 7.30pm.
Formed in 1967, the band pioneered the blending of traditional instruments with electric instrumentation, in turn becoming synonymous with the electric-folk sound.
Their annual Cropredy Convention music festival attracts up to 15,000 people to the fields of Oxfordshire each August, and they continue to sell out venues across the country.
With a career now spanning 58 years, 2025 sees Fairport Convention 55 years on from their seminal Full House album featuring Simon Nicol (guitar, vocals), Dave Pegg (bass guitar, vocals) and Dave Mattacks (drums) - all of whom are in the line-up for their UK tour alongside Ric Sanders (violin) and Chris Leslie (bouzouki, mandolin, banjo, fiddle).
Their most well-known track Who Knows Where The Time Goes is now nearing 30 million Spotify plays.
Dave Mattacks was Fairport Convention's drummer throughout most of the 1970s, 1980s and 1990s. Since then he has contributed to studio recordings by Paul McCartney, Brian Eno, Elton John and Nick Drake.
Support comes from the American-born and British-raised finger style guitarist and songwriter Danny Bradley.
