Lucy Benjamin, of EastEnders and Detectorists fame, will play The Sheriff of Nottingham in this year’s Yvonne Arnaud Theatre pantomime Robin Hood.

Radio star Peter Gordon is returning for his 19th year in panto as Nanny Fanny Annie, alongside Guildford Shakespeare Company’s Matt Pinches in the role of Much.

Brimming with slapstick, slosh and silliness, Robin Hood will be full of merry men-t and guaranteed to hit the target.

The Yvonne Arnaud’s fun-filled, award-winning pantomimes are made and rehearsed in house at the theatre. Written, directed, designed and staged by its team, they are a thoroughly original production for all the family every time. The theatre’s most recent offering, Dick Whittington, won Best Ensemble in the UK Pantomime Awards.

Panto veteran Ricky Oakley (Doctors) is in the Yvonne Arnaud panto for the first time as Robin Hood, along with Safia Bartley (The Mad Ones, Rainbow Rae and the Colour Stone Rescue) as Maid Marion.

They will be joined by Jacob Kohli (Kathy & Stella Solve A Murder, Beauty & The Beast) as Lil John, alongside an all singing, all dancing ensemble of final year local drama school students and recent graduates.
