The spring production from Grayshott Stagers will be 9 to 5 The Musical, a fantastically funny and fabulous show with a rip-roaring score by Dolly Parton.
Inspired by the 1980s feminist comedy film, it tells the story of three women at Consolidated Industries, pushed to boiling point by their - in his own words - sexist, egotistical, lying, hypocritical bigot of a boss, Franklin Hart Jr.
Concocting a plan to turn the tables on their despicable supervisor, will the ladies reform their office - or will events unravel when the chairman pays an unexpected visit? It’s a story of friendship and revenge, but it's also outrageous, thought-provoking and even a little romantic.
Susie Gow plays long-suffering Violet Newstead, balancing her job with being a single mum. Lizzie Hales will be Doralee Rhodes, a happily married country girl who cannot work out why she is being ostracised. Clemency Bray is portraying Judy Bernly, new to work having found herself unexpectedly single.
Directed by Laura Musco and Rob Miller, it will be staged at Grayshott Village Hall from May 22 to 25 at 7.30pm. It is sponsored by iDocuments.
