Theatregoers in a Waverley village are set for a night of paw-some entertainment as it’s nearly time for their annual pantomime. Oh yes it is.

Villagers should be in hiss-terics when the Churt Amateur Dramatic Society (CADS) take to the stage with Puss in Boots: The Panto next Friday (January 24).

Tickets are selling fast for the “funny, fur-midable and fabulously feline” pantomime with seven shows lined up.

The show written by Ben Crocker and directed by CADS favourites Anneliese Wadham and Sabrina Wong is purr-fect for all the family but there will doubtless be a few in-jokes and double entendres for the adults.

CADS Churt Pantomime 2025 Puss
A whisker away from opening night (CADS)

Miller’s son Jack is a bit hissed when his inheritance turns out to be a cat while his brothers Jasper and Jethro inherit the mill and all the riches.

But when the tabby receives a magical pair of boots from the Good Fairy, the determined Puss labours to change his master’s destiny and win the Princess’s hand in marriage.

The pair have to outwit the Bad Fairy, his brothers and the Ogre as they claw their way to the top, all the while trying to impress Princess Esmeralda’s royal parents.
