Grayshott Jazz Club will host Enrico Tomasso and Denny Ilett Junior, paying homage to some of the greatest exponents of traditional jazz, at Grayshott Social Club on September 10.
Horn player Enrico played for Louis Armstrong at the age of seven and has accompanied the maestro on tour in northern England.
His playing style has been developed by his relationship with Satchmo, and he has become a regular performer at Grayshott Jazz Club.
His appearance this time will be with equally gifted jazz aficionado Denny Ilett junior, whose father, Denny Ilett, was the first trumpet player to perform at the inaugural Grayshott Jazz Club.
Denny junior is a jazz guitar master whose style complements Enrico’s perfectly, creating powerful renditions of the very best traditional jazz from the 1920s, 30s and 40s when this genre was at its height of popularity and influence in the USA, at a time of great hardship and depression, particularly in the southern states.
