A screening of award-winning documentary Eating Our Way To Extinction will be held as part of the Alton Climate Action Network’s Eating For Tomorrow event at the Alton Maltings Centre on January 25 at 6.15pm.
This event aims to raise awareness of the profound impact food choices have on the planet and inspire a shift towards a more plant-based diet.
The documentary takes its audience on a cinematic journey to the Amazon rainforest, the Taiwanese mountains, the Mongolian desert, the USA dust bowl, the Norwegian fjords and the Scottish coastline.
It features powerful testimonials, poignant accounts from indigenous people, and insights from globally renowned figures and leading scientists, including Sir Richard Branson and Tony Robbins.
It addresses the most pressing issue of our generation – ecological collapse – and empowers the audience with a message of hope.
Afterwards Dr Shireen Kassam, founder of Plant-Based Health Professionals and a featured expert in the film, will lead a thought-provoking discussion.
She will share her insights on the benefits of a plant-based diet and how it can contribute to a sustainable future.
Attendees will enjoy a delicious vegan dinner provided by Jo's Kitchen, showcasing the variety and richness of plant-based cuisine. For tickets visit https://www.tickettailor.com/events/altonclimateactionnetworksustainabitesuk/1474680
