Fans of singers and musicians who put their unique spin on popular songs will enjoy an evening with Steampunk Orchestra at the Theatre Royal Winchester on September 13 at 7.30pm.

Audiences are taken on a journey through five decades of iconic music, against a backdrop of vintage Edison bulbs, when the orchestra – decked out in steampunk finery – cover beloved classics from rock and indie legends and pop royalty; the likes of Coldplay, Foo Fighters, Kate Bush, Prince, Fleetwood Mac, Elton John, Led Zeppelin and Tom Petty.

This unique event is a chance for music lovers to step into a place where the classical elegance of the steampunk aesthetic – a design style inspired by Victorian-era industrialism – meets the energy of classic rock, indie and pop anthems.

The eight-piece band comprises Joe Russell (acoustic and vocals), Tiago Dias (electric bass), Tom Harvey (electric guitar), Keith Russell (concert toms and percussion), Jennifer Cleland (violin), Alex Osborne (violin), Ben Moneypenny (octave violin) and Jax Kershaw (French horn).

This epic concert opens a fantastical world where gadgets, gears and innovation collide with melodies and musical excellence.
