The West End Centre in Aldershot will welcome storytelling songstress Harriet for a night of 1970s nostalgia on March 27 at 8pm.

She will dig deep into her record collection and reconnect with the songs that first inspired her to pursue a life in music.

Harriet said: “This Trying To Get The Feeling Again show is a celebration of my love of music from the late 70s and the songs that have shaped me as an artist and performer.

“I have been longing to reconnect with my musical roots, and this tour and album have given me the opportunity to embrace parts of myself and my sound that I’m excited to share.

“I hope people discover a sense of comfort and nostalgia and are able to experience again any feelings that they thought had been lost. I think this is something we are all craving right now - to get the feeling again.”

Harriet’s new album Trying To Get The Feeling Again emerged after she took some timeless 70s classics to a new audience by releasing videos of her singing Yesterday Once More, Rainbow Connection and Sailing on social media.

The album also features new song Mountain, written with John Bettis who wrote Yesterday Once More.

Growing up surrounded by the pop music of the 1990s and 2000s, Harriet chose to listen to Ella Fitzgerald, Barry Manilow, Fleetwood Mac, Carole King and ABBA, and in more recent years Kacey Musgraves and Stephen Sanchez.

Full of her elegant and exquisitely performed interpretations of classic songs from the likes of The Carpenters, Carole King, Christopher Cross and Bread, Trying To Get The Feeling Again speaks to an array of different audiences.

Tickets cost £23 in advance, on 01252 330040 or at https://www.westendcentre.co.uk/event/harriet, or £25 on the door.
