This spring will be a celebration of art and craft at the New Ashgate Gallery in Farnham.
There are three exhibitions starting on January 18 which will run until March 8.
Hampshire artist Emma Dunbar’s Colourful Conversations is a celebration of the extraordinary in the everyday. Known for her vibrant, decorative style, Emma’s acrylic paintings capture the simple joys of life.
Judy McKenzie is a ceramicist whose work beautifully combines tradition and innovation. Her focus is on the Japanese techniques of nerikomi and kintsugi.
Peter Gillespie’s A Portrait of Farnham brings the town’s architecture and streets to life through lively ink and watercolour illustrations.
Working freehand, without pencils or rulers, Peter’s expressive style captures the essence and vibrancy of Farnham.
Peter is holding a fun and creative free half-term drop-in workshop for all on February 18, from 11am until 2pm. And in a meet the artist session on March 8, from 11am until 1pm, Peter will create a new artwork live at the gallery.
From January 18 until April 26, the Spring Craft Collection will be a celebration of hand-made treasures by more than 50 makers including Ali Tomlin, Zeba Imam, Judit Patkos, Machi de Waard, Helen Dyne, Joanna Lloyd, Jennie Jackson and Glenn Dane.
