Excitement is building as two charities, the Farnham Lions and Hedgehogs, join forces to bring back the much-anticipated Farnham Carnival on Saturday, June 29.
This year, with the Olympics inbound, the theme of the carnival is Keep Farnham Active in partnership with the Farnham Sports Council, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary.
The highlight of the carnival will be the parade of 50 floats, and the Lions and Hedgehogs are calling on businesses, community groups, schools, and individuals to join the parade with floats that set the mark for fitness, sport, and overall wellbeing.
The parade will be kicking off at 6pm from the Upper Hart car park.
To ensure the safety of all participants and spectators, 120 marshals are needed to guide the parade along its route, so if you fancy getting involved then head to Farnham Carnival’s website.
But that’s not all – the fun continues with the carnival fayre filling Gostrey Meadow from 2pm to 9pm.
Featuring live bands, fun family games and competitions, a fun fair, stalls offering a variety of goods, a bar, and many food options.
The Lions and Hedgehogs want to thank the generous support of their sponsors, without who none of this would be possible. Their contributions play a vital role in bringing the carnival to life and ensuring that it remains a free event for all to enjoy.
If your business or organisation is interested in becoming a sponsor, get in touch with the Lions and Hedgehogs who say every sponsorship makes a difference.
Please note that road closures will be in effect from 5.30pm to 8pm to accommodate the parade route safely.
So, mark your calendars, and get ready to join the fun at the Farnham Carnival on Saturday, June 29. Further information and all contact information can be found online at http://farnhamcarnival.org.uk/
