Farnham is getting ready for a glittering makeover when an annual event makes its return this month.
Gostrey Meadow will transform into a winter wonderland on Saturday, November 16 for the Christmas lights switch on from 1pm to 6pm.
Visitors will be able to enjoy live performances from schools and theatre groups and local band Brobed Stils will play out the afternoon extravaganza.
Councillor Kika Mirylees said: “The switch-on is one of the most magical events in our calendar. Little ones will be able to meet the animals at the nativity scene, have their faces painted and enjoy funfair rides. No Christmas event would be complete without a visit to Santa in his cosy grotto!”
There will also be stalls and food vendors to explore or you head into the town centre to discover what’s on offer. This year’s special guests will flip the switch at 4.30pm, lighting up Farnham for the festive season.
