A DALEK was responsible for a fire exterminated last Friday at the Petersfield Forge.
Lee Richards knows who to blame as the blacksmith left the work in progress on some MDF sheeting.
The resulting heat caused the wood and workbench below to catch fire with a neighbour ringing the alarm around 7.45pm.
Firefighters used two hose reel jets and a main jet to put out the blaze after breaking through the front door.
Thankfully the damage was limited to the door and work bench area with crews from Liphook, Havant, Horndean and Waterlooville answering the call.
