AMERY Hill’s Year 11 students celebrated the end of their secondary school education with a sophisticated dinner and dance at Froyle Park.

Everything was perfectly in place, from the suits, the bow ties and the beautifully elegant dresses to the handbags, the heels and the make-up!

Talking about the event, Amery Hill progress leader Owain Lewis said: “The arrangements for the evening were led by the student prom committee, which organised the event like a team of professionals!

“Having worked so hard over the past few months for their GCSE exams, it was lovely that the students could celebrate together. They had a fantastic evening and it is definitely one they will remember.”

The evening opened with an impressive array of transport for the traditional arrival at Amery Hill School, including a fantastic display of vintage vehicles, a variety of sports cars, a tractor, a doughnut-performing Rotax kart, and an articulated lorry cab, more commonly used to haul a 44-tonne trailer!

Tutors and students enjoyed a reception in the wonderful surroundings of Froyle Park before sitting down to dinner, which was followed by the presentation of awards and speeches.

The evening was rounded off at Froyle Park with plenty of fun, photo opportunities, and dancing.
