Fundraisers will get on their starting blocks as The Pilgrim Marathon and Half Marathon returns to Farnham for the 15th time next Sunday.

The Farnham Weyside Rotary Club has planned the course to really get the runners’ blood pumping.

It will start at The Sands at 9am for full marathon runners and at 9.30am for half-marathon entrants.

The route will take participants through lovely landscapes and past llamas with a few hill climbs thrown in to get the adrenaline pumping.

Proceeds will be donated to local good causes with this year’s chosen charities being Challengers, The Woodlarks Centre and The Simon Trust. Non-runners can also help at the event as the Rotary Club is looking for volunteers to be marshals to maintain the safety and smoothness of the event.
