YEAR 11 students at All Hallows Catholic School are celebrating after results showed a five per cent increase on last year.
In English and maths, 81 per cent of students achieved grade 4 or above. Overall, the percentage of 7 to 9 grades achieved by students was 33 per cent.
The school is “very impressed” with the results overall, but was keen to give a special mention to some individuals, including Hannah Bradley who successfully gained grade 9s in every subject taken.
Other students who did exceptionally well were Grace Allan and Phoebe Smith who both achieved ten grade 9s and one grade 8, Iona Baxter who scored seven grade 9s and four grade 8s and Charlotte Linder who gained seven grade 9s and three grade 8s.
Katherine Treasure got two 6s, five 7s, one 8 and one 9, and said: “I was really nervous but I got the results I wanted.”
She will be staying on at All Hallows’ Sixth Form, studying history, English language and English literature.
Katherine continued: “Well done to everyone else who got their results!”
Head of Year 11 Victoria Milnes said she was “incredibly proud” of all the students and was “really happy they’ve opened the door for whatever they want to do next”.
She added: “I wish them all the best wherever they’re going.”
