THE weather held out almost until the end of this year's Hollycombe Primary School sports day last Friday.
During the morning, children took part in their house teams competing in a series of activities including space hopping, hockey dribbling, speed jumping and scootering, earning points for their team.
Parents provided lunchtime picnics and afternoon activities comprised races, hurdles, standing jump, standing throw as well as relay and long distance races and a tug of war.
The winning house was Rother and headteacher Tamsin Austoni commented on the excellent sportsmanship of all children and thanked Sally Doyle, class teacher and PE co-ordinator, for her excellent organisation during the day.
