If you live in Farnham, chances are you’re quite happy: But you could have it even better if you move to Hampshire according to the results of an annual survey.
Farnham has been named the 11th ‘Happiest place to live’ in the South East and 42nd nationally by Rightmove
It missed out on a top ten place to Fleet with Guildford and Woking finishing in 12th and 23rd place, respectively.
There are gaping holes on the list as Farnham is the only Herald and Post-area town to feature, with no mention of Petersfield, Bordon, Alton, Godalming or even the likes of Aldershot or Farnborough.
Residents were asked by the property behemoth how proud they felt about where they live, their sense of belonging, public transport and their earnings.
More than 35,000 people took part in the survey with Sevenoaks taking the South East title ahead of Wokingham and Winchester.
