ALL units of the first Bourne Guiding movement have been equipped with potentially lifesaving first-aid skills over two sessions this term.
Rainbows, Brownies and Guides all took part in the training and each girl who attended achieved a first-aid badge.
The training was delivered by Jo Michaelides from Heartstart Farnham Lions, who is a first-aid trainer.
The younger girls looked at calling for help and how to put someone in the recovery position, while the Brownies and Guides looked at a range of first-aid situations including illness and injuries.
The Guides also learnt how to perform CPR and what a defibrillator does.
“This is such an important badge,” said Collette Macklin, leader of all three sections. “I am really proud of all the girls and what they have achieved.”
