STAFF and pupils welcomed East Hampshire MP Damian Hinds to Bordon Junior School to help launch their Hi-Ho programme.
The Hi-Ho programme – or How I Help Others – is the pupils' new way of celebrating the many things that they do to help others at home, at school and in the community.
Pupils log their efforts on Hi-Ho record cards which, when completed, are exchanged for Hi-Ho rewards.
Headteacher Chris James believes the Hi-Ho scheme will provide excellent opportunities for the pupils at the school, in Budds Lane, to demonstrate the many ways in which they help others in their lives.
At the launch, Mr Hinds talked to the school's pupils about the many ways in which an MP helps others - from solving local issues to helping to deliver policies on a national and international scale.
Jamie Cummins, Deadwater Valley Trust ranger, joined the launch to further the link between the trust and the school - a link that has seen pupils volunteering their services in helping to maintain the Deadwater Valley area.
