If you’re selling a property in Farnham, get ready to wait a long time before handing the keys over.

A property in Farnham’s GU9 and GU10 postcodes is taking an average of 16.14 weeks to sell according to recent data revealed by Property Solvers. 

They analysed data from February 2023 to February 2024, with more than 132 property sales were examined.

In GU9, sellers waited an average of 113 days from listing to completion for 71 properties, while in GU10, it took 111 days for 61 properties.

Ruban Selvanayagam of Property Solvers said: “Whilst we’re starting to see some noticeable improvements into 2024, the continued pressures on the mortgage sector and buyers’ ability to secure the right kind of finance has resulted in delays with sales completing.”

The co-founder of the Farnham sell house fast company said: “Combined with the recognised ‘snail pace’ nature of the conveyancing process, it’s likely that these trends are likely to remain for some time.”
