STUDENTS were transported to Monte Carlo as All Hallows School kicked off a busy season of year 11 proms across the Farnham area.
School-leavers, decked out in elegant gowns and sharp suits, were greeted by glorious sunshine and a cheering crowd of proud parents and teachers as they arrived at the Weybourne Lane school in a variety of glitzy carriages.
Vehicles ranged from ambulances to limos, a Volkswagen camper-van, an original Fiat 500, several Mercedes, Bentleys and countless other fancy cars - befitting the prom’s casino theme.
Students were escorted down the red carpet into the school’s garden, where sixth formers served glasses of Shloer and cocktails.
They were then led into the glamorously decorated school hall and given fake money to gamble on the blackjack and roulette tables - with a £15 Amazon voucher presented to the highest roller.
A DJ kept the students dancing all night, while a chill-out room and photo booth added to the fun, and sixth formers dished out chips and chicken nuggets.
“It was a real celebration of how hard they have all worked,” said Lucy Naylor, assistant head of year 11, adding “we wish them all the best for the future.”
