Currently at Edgehill University, in Ormskirk, Lancashire, where she is studying film and television production, Laura’s goals are “to become a TV writer and travel the world”.
She said: “This trip is the perfect opportunity to raise money for a good cause, challenge myself, get directly involved with the people and have the experience of a lifetime while doing it.”
“I’m mostly excited to meet the pupils at the schools in Tanzania, as I love working with children.”
Busy raising funds for her trip with cake sales, club events and the creation of a website: selling necklaces and t-shirts, Laura also held a quiz night at Grayswood village hall, last Saturday, to raise more money.
