LILLY Castle, of Waverley Abbey School in Farnham has successfully crowd-funded £735 by completing a 7.5-mile run to raise money for a school defibrillator – a potentially life-saving piece of equipment.

Due to her mother being a paramedic Lilly has learnt first-hand just how important defibrillators are, and that if someone has a cardiac arrest, their chances of survival decreases by 10 per cent every minute they are without a defibrillator.

Following her 7.5-mile run at Frimley Lodge Park, she took to her fundraising page to thank all those who helped make her dream a reality, she said: “Thank you all so, so much for your donations and your support.”
