All of the money raised will go directly towards helping fund the vital supportive and end of life care which Phyllis Tuckwell provides for local patients and families who are living with an advanced or terminal illness, such as cancer.
Writing your will and keeping it up-to-date are two of the most important things you can do, ensuring that, in the event of your death, your estate will go to the people and causes that matter the most to you.
Many people also choose to leave a gift in their will to a charity which is close to their heart. Without a will, the law will decide what happens to your estate when you die.
There are a limited number of wills available from each solicitor, and last year appointments filled up very quickly, so Phyllis Tuckwell advises that you contact your chosen solicitor as soon as you can, to book your place.
The solicitors taking part are: Bates Solicitors in Hartley Wintney; BakerLaw LLP in Farnham; Kidd Rapinet in Farnham; Morr & Co in Ash Vale and Camberley; and Woodford Stauffer in Farnborough, DPM Legal in Godalming.
Contact details for all of these solicitors can be found at www.pth.org.uk/makeawillmonth
Simply choose a solicitor from the list and contact them to book an appointment.
“Making a will is so important, and we are hugely grateful to everyone who has chosen to leave a gift in their will to Phyllis Tuckwell,” said Hannah Robins, legacy officer at Phyllis Tuckwell.
“Legacies fund the care of one in five of our patients – that’s 400 patients a year.
“If you are able to leave a legacy to Phyllis Tuckwell, no matter what the amount, it will help us to continue providing our care for generations to come.”
